About Me

My love affair with storytelling began with scraps of paper, a stubby pencil and a worn-out VHS copy of The Little Mermaid playing in the background. I was 5, utterly enchanted by Ariel’s underwater world, and soon I was scribbling my own mermaid sagas on tiny squares of paper. What started as childhood play quickly blossomed into a lifelong passion for crafting narratives, and I’ve been chasing stories ever since.

After earning my journalism degree in 2011, I landed opportunities to write for some of the Philippines’ top magazines, including StarStudio and Celebrity Living. Two years later, I broadened my horizons in corporate communications at Manila Water Company, where I was entrusted with the creative freedom to reimagine Agos, the company’s internal publication. I transformed it from a purely technical newsletter into a storytelling platform that bridged the company with its employees, customers and other stakeholders — a project that earned industry recognition and remains one of my proudest accomplishments.

While those roles lived in different corners of the communications world, my mission stayed constant: to tell compelling, character-driven marratives and sharpen my craft along the way. The thrill of seeing my byline never faded, but what really moved me was meeting people from all walks of life and giving their stories a platform.

I traded my notebooks and pens for military pay forms in 2019, when I enlisted in the Army for four years. I was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. I was one of the soldiers in charge of making sure that the service members we have on the island received the correct pay and other allowances given Hawaii's very high cost of living.

While I enjoyed my work in the Army, my love for storytelling never wavered. After all, no matter where you are in life, you will always find stories worth telling — even within the walls of a military office. Right now, I’m eager to return to the work that’s always felt like home to me.

The world remains rich with untold tales, and I’m ready to pick up my pen — or keyboard — and dive back in.
